Back in the game - Almenwelt Lofer

Saturday early morning, we started from Dachau heading south to the Alps. Arriving just in time for the cabin lift to start. We (Chris, Inka & Victor) got ourselves a 9-days Salzburger Superski Pass - giving us access to 22 small, medium and really big skiing resorts.

First ride up

Victor and me got tempted by the empty slopes and instead of changing to the second cabin lift, ...

... we took a ski lift to one of the black downhill slopes.

We headed down to the valley feeling like on a racetrack with nobody interfering our lines.

Before lunch we headed to the backcountry area and had some real fun making our own runs in the deep snow.

For lunch, we met with Inka at Haus Schönblick.

The sun was shining all day, so the snow got soft and more difficult to handle, so before the final downhill trip we stopped for something to drink at the Kechtalm from where we had a fantastic view.

Riders' Top Picks:
  • Chris: Backcountry off Grubhörndl
  • Inka: Fairytale forest (blue)
  • Victor: Hochwena (black)

Statistics of Day#1

Afterwards, we drove to Saalfelden am steinermen Meer (stony ocean) where we had booked a nice apartment.
