Saalbach-Hinterglemm

Today we went to Saalbach-Hinterglemm for skiing. Parking the car at the Schattberg Express, we took the same to the top.

Morning Update: -8°C

Victor and me just tried out the black slope returning to the start while Inka took 2b to Jausern where we joined her.

Inka

We took the ski bus back to the Schattberg Express and headed west to the valley of Hinterglemm - Inka on the slope, Victor and me on the ski route and a bit off.

Having fun

We had our lunch at the Westgipfelhütte - great food & view.

My lunch - Skiers' salad

and dessert

Another down and up brought us on the Zwölferkogel and an icy black 14. A short switch to the south side taught us that the snow there was very soft and nearly water, so we returned to the north. There were still some good afternoon slopes at the Seekar.

the view

At the last chair lift, we met Inka again, took a picture on the top and headed down for the last time there.

Riders' Top Picks:

  • Chris: 1 North Downhill (black)
  • Inka: 11 Family Downhill (blue)
  • Victor: 14 Zwölferkogel North Downhill (black) - his fans might still be up on the last escarpment and say WOW
