Thursday early morning I arrived back in India. Time for another International Congress and AIESEC Alumni International Meeting. Around lunch time, I checked in to the Double Tree by Hilton in Gurgaon.
Lobby lights
There was nice decoration and a jewelry/ souvenir shop in the lobby and you could just spent a day sitting there, which we did at the end of the congress. The rooms were spacious, the shower was great. The hotel also sported a gym, pool and spa - of which all I made good use.
Outdoor Pool
A level below the lobby is the conference center, where we spent most of our time. There we got our badges, that were not colorful enough so we enhanced them.
Four days, we discussed the state of the organizations, new initiatives and sessions on leadership, change agents and many others.

The food was a bit monotone for me. Luckily, one day we had a live pasta counter and of course, there is always chocolate.
Going for the dessert first
In the evenings, we travelled 13 km to AIESEC's International Congress at the Hyatt Regency (only took us 40 min). On the first night, we experienced Indian Night with dancers from all over India, Mendi painters (Henna), local food and a fashion show.

The next night, we returned for old and new AIESEC dances and the AIESEC Alumni Hall of Fame.

With the complete German delegation
I received the Global Young Alumni Contribution Award - so proud!
Later, the new mission statement for AIESEC 2020 was revealed - very ambitious! Hope you go ahead well, AIESEC!
AIESEC 2020
The last night saw us in our gala outfit and this time we sat in the back, while the AIESEC entities received their excellence awards.

After the party night, we slept long and started closing late. The usual never ending rounds of goodbyes followed. Some went home, some went on the study tour and some like me went on individual trips.
