We decided to use one of our days off to go skiing - the last time for 2013. Our choice today was Seefeld in Tirol, just behind the border in Austria. We reached there after a two hour drive from Dachau, just before 9 o'clock.
The ski area consisted of two separate mountain areas: Seefelder Joch/ Härmlekopf and Gschwandtkopf. We went to the first and the lifts of Rosshütte.
Skipasses: A day pass is 39€ and in our opinion that is too much for what you get.
Hours of operation: 9:00-16:30
Lifts: From the parking house, there were three lifts: cable car on tracks (every 15 min - we did not use it as we had not the patience to wait), Brand Ski Lift up the schooling hill and the Hochangerbahn that we used mainly.
To reach further up, there were two ski lifts, a chair lift with a midway stop and a 12-passenger cable car to the top (every 10 min).
Another cable car that linked Rosshütte and Härmlekopf and the Reitheralmbahn were closed.
Snow: Not that much - just 10 to 50 cm. At several points we could see the rock beneath the snow and there were a lot of stones rolling over the slopes.
Restaurants: We had a morning coffee & tea in the Reitherjoch Alm - that was a wooden jewel. For lunch we went to the self-service restaurant at the Rosshütte and filled our stomachs with chicken, fries and salad.
Specials:

- Free Wifi was available at several points.
- The cable cars gave a feeling of nostalgia.
